Re: Broadband keeps dropping connection

Submitted a fault report.

6. Data rate: 1016 / 3800
7. Maximum data rate: 1016 / 5048
8. Noise margin: 6.0 / 10.5
9. Line attenuation: 25.2 / 49.8
10. Signal attenuation: 26.1 / 45.6

At one point a few days ago the Noise margin read 42 / 6

disconnections after that got steadily worse, so many disconnections now that the log ends inside the day.

newest fun addition is " after 0 minutes uptime" and the router simply can't reconnect unless it is rebooted.

Currently Raining. The last 4 times it was fixed engineers replacing wet dated rural equipment on the poles in the village and leading to the house...

Plusnet Broadband, Defeated by rain

getting really old.    very frustrating

Thanks for raising the fault.

Our automated tests have picked up an external fault known as a Battery Contact which will most likely be the cause of your issues.

I've updated the fault ticket with more details and we'll get this investigated for you as soon as possible.

Re: Broadband keeps dropping connection

Engineer fixed yet another issue and broadband worked for another month.

now it seems a new issue

8190537091

160 ping

the data rate has been reduced so much, many applications fail to send and give up.

unable to watch a video on youtube or send pictures on whats'app

but no disconnections.

tried restarting the router a few times

Tried unplugging the router then waiting 30 mins and reconnecting hoping to be assigned a new ip address.

same slow data rate each time.

is it time for engineer 6? or is it 7 now?
