Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on my broadband.
BT speed test done at 2.30 monday afternoon attached and further results from plus net website.
Telephone number:
01179374**0
Phone exchange:
ABSON
Estimated line speed:
7 - Checked on 2009-11-21 19:41:13
Current line speed:
7150
Download speeds tested using thinkbroadband and speedtest.net show 1-1.5 meg. At 07.30 on Sunday morning I get 6-6.5Meg every time (YES i am that sad I got up to test it!!)
Never see more than 200Kbs when downloading at 'normal' times.
I think it is congestion but what can I do about it?
On a different note my broadband has dropped out occassionally on a fairly regular basis ( once a week or so for a few seconds), swapped back to my old BT hub2 and no problems since.
Is there a problem with the router?
Using IE8, firefox and Iron all show same results...................on WINDOWS 7 (excellent by the way)
HELP!
Thanks
FF

According to that the next update is 'A provisional date of Dec 13, 2008 has been set for upgrading this exchange.'
NOW having been a BT customer (and I do realise it isn't the same dept) I know they are slow to act but nearly 12 months?
Is there anything I can do? Apart from wait I mean!!
Just found the attached info....I assume that is good news for March 2011 BUT how accurate is the date?
Thanks for the replies so far, nice to know there are people interested.

That's an error on Nildram's checker. The PlusNet one is up to date at the moment (well 13th Nov). Check at jelv's link in reply #2 see Very pretty A fix should be imminent.
