Hi my broadband line as recently been regraded to ADSL2 (21CN) But 'am not noticing any increase in speed. I usually only get 1.5MB & in my area I would get no more than 3MB at the present. Over the W/E its ranged from 1.26-135MB, I did expect some increase at least, more than usual?
Appreciate any advice
Thx

This graph seems to suggest that below about 4000kbs no real speed benefit can be achieved by the upgrade.

On longer lines swapping to ADSL2+ may actually produce a worse broadband sync/speed.......it is in part to do with the fact that ADSL2 uses higher frequencies which have higher attenuation rates which in turn adveresly affect longer lines.
I thought that those on syncs less than 4000 were indeed told not to upgrade and instead are provisioned on ADSL1/max but on the 21CN exchange equipment.
There is some anedotal evidence that ADSL1 on 21CN is more stable than on 20CN.
