Brand new 21CN stats do these seem right?

My line has just literally swapped to 21CN and I was wondering if these stats looked ok?  I was puzzled by the Output power for downlad being zero?

My Netgear DG834v4 also reports the D/S output power as zero, and I don't think it's the only one, but it's never been a problem in practice.
You are synching at a good speed which is a good start but it's too early in the training period to be able to predict exactly what parameters and performance it will settle down at.

I am surprised to see that your upstream is apparently interleaved

Is it, how do you tell?  Is that good / bad ?

Upstream speed of 888kbps which apparently is the limit imposed by interleaving

'tis the standard initial setting it seems
leave it alone for a  few days and the DLM will probably reduce the interleaving depth (it will be at 8 currently) and free up the sync to run at whatever it can do at 6 margin target upstream (yr current upstream margin is 14)
D/S power reported as zero is a known router/DLAM bug present in many routers - the real value is around 19dB.
If you are lucky after some 4 days the DLM might reduce the target SNR margin downstream to 3 if the line is good.

You speak in forked tongues  Cheesy

I have no idea what each of these things really mean nor what sort of values to expect and what impact changes can have on speed etc.

Re: Brand new 21CN stats do these seem right?

When interleaving is removed your upload speed will increase to something over 1,000kbps and if the downstream default noise margin drops to 3dB there will be an increase in download speed

Cheers Jim, has anyone knowledgable like you created an idiots guide to what it all means and the effects etc so I am others can refer to it in future as I bet you get fed up with answering the same dumb questions over and over again  Roll_eyes

Thanks Jim, that is making some sense (slowly) of the difference between the new figures and those taken just 2 hours prior to the changeover.

That is certainly my recent experience.  The rate went up a few days into the ADSL2+ training period, as x47c says it will.
