I have tried searching for an answer to this, but have found nothing so far.....
The kids are driiving me nuts with certain websites - the usual arguements!! I have turned on the website blocking feature on my Technicolour TG582n, and have put in the required details. This works fine, but the kids have found that if they type in https://www.youtube.com they get round it.
I have tried adding the https to the website field in the router, but it ignores everything before the www.
How do I get it to block sites and mean it????!!
Thanks for your help!

If using Internet Explorer, you can try this - http://www.wikihow.com/Block-a-Website-in-Internet-Explorer-7
I don't think the router filters work that well and they tend to slow throughput down too.

You could try OpenDNS

OpenDNS also can be configured to block unwanted access via proxy servers, and produces a report on all the blocked sites visited - so you can keep an eye on what your kids are attempting to access !.
I have used OpenDNS for years and haven't had the need to use any additional tools to keep my kids safe.
