BTOR modem not syncing after power loss

Anyone have any idea why the BTOR modem wouldn't even try to sync after losing power? I tried power cycling several times to no avail.
Eventually holding the reset button helped, but that's a pain.

Hi there,
I'm guessing the power cut affected the cab too which is why it didn't resync straight away.
