Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

Obviously that 1Mbps is data carried - few people would be using a full 80Mbps 24x7 - but a small number of heavy users will cost Plusnet a lot more than what they pay to Plusnet.

Hmmm... interesting. Not holding my breath yet... but usually at this time every evening everything's gone bad

There were two "disconnects" today as per the BQM snapshot below.

Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

I think they've brought the extra capacity live earlier due to the number of people it must have been affecting.
Disappointing Plusnet couldn't tell you this! In the past they were one of the best for things like this, but things have slipped  Undecided

Hmmm, well I'll keep my fingers and everything else crossed and come and look later. How are your neighbours and those others doing I wonder?

Still OK at 20:30

NEVER seen it like this. I've just downloaded a Linux distro in minutes, not hours.

The irony here is that BT Retail have provided better support/information than Plusnet - how often can you say that? I hope this is not a sign of things to come  Undecided

Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

Something else to pick up on - the Exchange Problem/Capacity page has not been updated for 9 days (http://community.plus.net/exchange-information/). I know there needs to be a staff member to continually update this, but it is a useful page that people use. Having out of date information on there is also not helpful.

Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

This is a good entry on that page Andy (my bold) -
Manton, Morcott, North Luffenham, Oakham, Thistleton, Uppingham Slow speeds on FTTC AF-MF-19019 28/8/14 (date reported) Suppliers unable to see any issue but monitoring out of hours is due to continue.
Just shows how incompetent BTWholesale and OpenReach are when they can't see congestion that's been reported for months.

Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

Hi LenAsh,
I'm trying to get an update on this one today, whether it will confirm the fix yet I don't know but I'm glad things are looking better for you.

Re: BTO/Plusnet think this is acceptable

How is it that BT Retail are able to give updates as they've received them from BT Wholesale to their end users in a timely manner, yet Plusnet have failed to do this? They were informing end users 5-6 days ago that BT Wholesale had identified a capacity problem in Oakham, yet no such information was passed on to LenAsh.
