Quote from: Method0ne Interesting, was planning on a sojourn to the pub, so I might have a little wander around on the way and see if I can spot anything different
That's quite an original excuse, I like it
I'll take a pic of the ones that are appearing near (but not near enough) my way when I get home. I notice they've also been putting 'Fibre Broadband is here' stickers on the front of them now.

its showing on my local cabinet as being available form the end of September this year, the only downside is that plus nets charges are extortionate , as according to plusnet im on a market 1 exchange where BT wholesale are the sole provider.
The other option is to try one of the LLU providers who have equipment in my local exchange as they don't use BT wholesale stuff their prices are lower.
Either that or see if plusnet will pull their finger out and update the market classification, or give offcom a stern kick up the rear

There are some photos of street cabinets on this page. The FTTC cabinets have vents in them. One FTTC cabinet here is alongside the phone cabinet (PCP), one round the corner from its PCP and one on the opposite side of a sideroad, One is 50m and across the road from a newly installed replacement phone cabinet. The separation is due to road safety issues - hazardous junction.
