BT availability checker useless

Any idea why BT have decided to remove the address checker option from here:
https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
Previously, it was possible to get an estimate of FTTC speeds (or FTTC availability even!) by using the "address" checker (i.e. house number and post-code). Now, it just says Your address has been successfully matched; however we cannot determine ADSL availability at this address. Please try the Telephone Number or Postcode Checker. .
That's all well and good, except for properties where you have just moved in and don't currently have an active phone line. The post-code checker doesn't say anything about FTTC, even for post-codes which are covered. God forbid the public have a way of working out which properties are connected to which cabinet!  Roll_eyes
At least it makes the decision easier with regards to waiting for possible FTTC infill, or just going with VM.

Address checker seems to work OK for me.

Re: BT availability checker useless

It looks like I was a bit quick to complain, it's working fine now.
They're now showing two sets of values for FTTC (and these numbers are more accurate than what was given for our address previously).
