BT Infinity, FTTC and Plusnet

Hi,
I am confused!
I currently have a 2Mb Plusnet connection in Hemel Hempstead. I am quite a long way from the exchange and this is the most my line will support.
The BT Infinity checker says 17.6Mb is available to me now. I assume this must be a FTTC product. What FTTC products do/will Plusnet offer?
Is ADSL2+ different to FTTC?
Thanks

Re: BT Infinity, FTTC and Plusnet

It is FTTC; and VDSL2 rather than ADSL2+. You might find this thread of interest.
This blog http://community.plus.net/blog/2009/06/12/plusnet-to-trial-fibre-to-the-cabinet-fttc/ and the FAQs linked near the bottom of that article give more information.
