Quote from: Taxisofevil Would the ultimate automated way of changing profiles be under direct user control - no ticket tennis required?
Depends on what interface BT give us but chances are it will be controlled via the support team rather than a tool on the website at least initially. We'll have to see what happens after the trial.

Quote from: ajbrown1965 My ADSL2+ connection has run at 5000, but not for long; it is more usually around 3500 - 4000. Would it be possible to try and set it to the 5000 figure? All checks and tests I've done suggest iut should be capable of that speed.
We can try and experiment with the different profiles and see what they do, leave one of a few on for a few days and see which gives you the best speed/stability.

I've got to send the list of users to BT before 15th January. I expect the trial to start shortly after that but I don't have a confirmed date yet. As soon as I know the date I'll post it here, then work through the list and set the appropriate profiles and record it on your account with a ticket.

My SN down seems to vary a lot between 6 and 18 which has kept the speed at 15323. Some time ago it was running at 21000 or thereabout. I'm only a few hundred metres from the exchange so stopping the automated process from killing the speed sounds good.

Quote from: chrisyoung will profiles greater than 20mb be given out? i sync at over 23000k with a 6 snr but this just about gives you a 19000 profile just wondering if it is possible to give up to 24mb profile as adsl2 was initially ment to be.
The max profile is 21000kbps on both BT's and our side, we do have some customers that have got this but I think you need to sync at over 24000kbps.

I have been contemplating going on the DLM Trail at the moment things are looking good but I'm in two minds about it
here is my router stats.
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 9514 kbps 1152 kbps
Line Attenuation 41.0 db 22.5 db
Noise Margin 2.1 db 6.0 db
What do you think leave things as there are or go for the DLM testing ?
