Why are you trying to change the DNS on the modem ?, you should do it in the Acer router !

aaaaa.. dunno! And it's not even an Acer router, its a Linksys! I guess I never even look at it..
Will change the DNS on the Linksys and see what happens. Thanks for the helpful prompting!
Now, if I can only remember the password.. don't think I've logged into it since installing it last summer.

OK, it didn't seem to make any difference changing DNS in my router..
.. BUT changing the DNS used on my individual PC was fine and BBC Radio is now playing fine.
I'll have a play around with my router and router/modem settings to enable a different DNS for all devices.
UPDATE: Now working via my router DNS settings (unless PlusNet have fixed it themselves?)

Gad it's not just me! As of a couple of days ago (and still the case this morning), everything on `llnwd.net` is resolving to 127.0.0.1 on all of PlusNet's DNS servers.
As others have noted, Google and OpenDNS both resolve correctly.

I've set my PC connection to use Google DNS and problem is resolved.

I'm seeing some other issues with content from the Akami network. It may not be that the Plusnet DNS servers are not working, but that there is a problem routing to the IP addresses they are giving out.

It's not just iPlayer it's affecting - all content distributed by Limelight is affected. For some reason any *.llnwd.net addresses are resolving to 127.0.0.1 with all 4 PN DNS servers:
Netflix:

Was definitely a DNS issue - every *.llnwd.net domain was returning 127.0.0.1 with PN's DNS servers.
Kelly - Try a lookup of of the addresses above (still returning 127.0.0.1 for me)
Edit: Someone must be following this thread as it's been fixed

I was presuming that the presence of the support page on the BBC site meant there was another issue.  I didn't actually spot that the content was being served from llnwd.

Hi Kelly and all,
Thanks for this, as the thread starter, I though it only polite to say thanks, I've reset my DNS back to PlusNet (Auto) and reset IP and flushed DNS and can report all is now well with iPlayer.
On the subject of the BBC Support page, it might have been as a result of me whinging (and other PN customers). Perhaps I should just tell them it's working again (without too many details ;))
