Awful wireless upload speeds Thomson 8.2.7.8

Already have a ticket for this from 30/09/11, (47162745), as per subject line, upload speed using wireless is shocking.
Download speeds are great around 6mb but upload can be as low as .07mbps, if I connect with ethernet upload is around .4mbps, have tried all the different channels, even placed computer 1ft away from router, no improvement.
Any suggestions anyone?

Good morning Jojo
This morning I have received not 1 but 2 routers from yourselves, one is a new V8, supplied with a BT returns bag, the other one is a V7 which would appear to be the one you sent from Sheffield.
I have connected the new V8 and straight away the difference using wireless is very noticeable, web pages are loading very much faster, I have done 2 speed tests and my upload speed is now .38Mbps, I am now in a bit of a quandary as to what I should do.
What I would like to do is to leave the V8 connected for 24/36 hours and monitor the upload speeds, if it starts to degrade, then I would connect the V7 and see how that goes, I won't send anything back just yet, I welcome your feedback.

I'd leave it running. Others have commented that the upload speed deteriorates over time.

Well I've now had the new V8 running for almost 10 days  without any deterioration in upload speed, so I think we can safely say that the replacement has done the trick, I'll send the original V8 back in the returns bag.
What would you like me to do with the V7 which you sent to me?
