Awaiting Broadband Connection

Hi there.
I am cuently waiting on my broadband being onnected.  I am using a D-Link 2640r.  I have input the username and password details into the router and the DSL light is now green. 
Internet light is currently red, any chance of an earlier activation so I can get myself onto Xbox live again?

HI foolishmrt,
If I activate your account manually then your billing would start straight away. It's not guaranteed to work and no faults can be raised until the order is completed on the BT systems. If that's ok then I'll go ahead.

doesn't seem to have worked. All the login details correct but still have the red internet light.  Would this mean I need to wait or is there something else I can do at my end?

Also, the router tells me the download capability is jut 576kbps.  Is this right?

Hello, yes i got home on Friday night and it was all up and running. 
So happy and very impressed with the speed (so far).  I live close to the telephone exchange so I reckon it could be better but for now it is much fast than AO(Hel)L.
