Authentication problems tonight (05/05/2009) on 21CN

Hi
Anyone else having connection problem - logged call via the phone - support person points out that there has been a number of report of this - DSL sync ok - no data - checking router stats - reports connected  and got a 172.16.x.x address.?
Connected via my 3G connection - that is not running at 3G speed ! mobile broadband is pants!

hmm....back on now - been retry on an off all night.
The reboots of my router, might of not helped the first 10 day training thingy jig.  It was all going so well.

I had the same problem last night from around 5:20 pm.
After contacting plusnet helpdesk they didn't want to accept that a 172..... address was one of theirs and so not their problem.
He did agree to schedule an overnight test though.
Does anyone know what exactly happened so we can tell the help desk if we have to ring up again?

Whether my email feed has stopped working or not I don't know, however I'm not received any system outage emails from BT since Monday

Same problem as me , although my latency has not returned to normal yet , althought when i called CS they were aware of the problem and i was told it was being looked into , cant remember they agents name though .
Just hope it sorts itself out soon

Same problem here from about 1.30pm I was getting
an IP of 172.16.0.130 which does not even belong to Plusnet
BTW radial routers were to blame I understand

yeah i kicked a fuss up to get the latency issue on the service status. 
my ip has changed six times since  monday all tho they all seem to be PN ip's so not  a great a problem to me.

There definitely was a problem last night - my router was syncing with an address of 172.16.48.3 and of course that address was not recognising my user name and password - hence I was "offline"
Eventually used the 56K modem to access PN site (wow - did I really think 56K was fast once?)
Couldn't see any problems in the Service Status, so I phoned PN.
The CSA has already dealt with a number of calls from those on the ADSL2+ trial reporting the same thing. He raised a ticket anyway.
I retried about an hour and a half later after watching some TV and things seemed fine then.

Yep, we're aware that there was definitely a problem.
A number of our customers were being routed to BTs RADIUS server and thus getting a BT IP address and no data transfer on our network.  Glad it was fixed for everyone affected.
