Apple TV 2 and teleport Stopped working when I switched to TG585v8 from v7

Hi all. My old Thomson router tg585v7 kept dropping signal etc so I exchanged it for a mates tg585v8 Plusnet branded unit. However there are some strange issues. My ATV stopped recognising my library in the mac pro.
So I hard wired the atv2 to the router and all is fine.
Buuuut....my iPad won't connect to the screen sharing(iteleport) and my remote app on wont work.
Seems to be some sort of wifi issue here, but that's the limit of my knowledge.
I have read that there may be a 802.11n signal in this new unit...and my g only devices (powerbook) might be skittling the connection between my iPad and my router?
Can anyone help?

Hi LuthersBoots,
It sounds like the firmware on the v8 needs upgrading for that to work properly for you.
I should be able to arrange for a remote update to be carried out from here, just to warn you it may involve 10-15 minutes of downtime whilst we do it.
I'll go and speak to the relevant people at this end and will get back to you ASAP.

Cheers mate. I use the router to log into a remote desktop for work. I shall be off at 12:30 if you want to do it then.
What information do you need from me?
Or can I do it myself?

No, I don't need you to do anything at your end. As long as the connection is up that's all I need.
