Am I able to get Plusnet Value for £6.49 rather than £12.99?

Hi I am currently on Plusnet Value & have been for over a year.
I pay £12.99 per month but have seen that Value is being advertised as £6.49 per month (currently even less for new customers)
I am unsure what 'market' I am on but my local exchange is Wivenhoe (code EAWIV)
Am i able to get Extra for any cheaper than £12.99?

Thanks

Your exchange is flagged up as market 2 and as such qualifies for the reduced pricing.

Your mother-in-law will be able to get the lower price as well but you will have to request this on that account as the change doesn't happen automatically.
The method for this is the same.  Login to the portal with the above link and choose the "Upgrade Account" option.  You should be able to choose the same product but you'll see the price is lower.  The change will take effect from the next billing as will yours.

That post by Alex on here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,97883.msg827704.html#msg827704 seemed to imply that you can do it directly via the portal

Or a phone call to Plusnet will do the trick.

Re: Am I able to get Plusnet Value for £6.49 rather than £12.99?

Thanks everyone.
I tried to do it through the portal but it only allows me to switch to Extra at £11.49 or 'Keep this product' (Value at £12.99)
Guess I need to open a question on my account & ask to stay with Extra but with the cheaper pricing.
Am I correct in thinking that there are no hidden fees to pay & that I will not be tied down to a new 12 month contract?
Thanks again

I didn't incur any charges or contract changes as a result of the reduction of my monthly broadband charge.
However maybe a DCT member can confirm?

Hi Wivenhoe1,
Just changed your market for you, you'll pay the cheaper price from now on and I'm happy to say there'll be no one off charges or changes to your account at all as a result (other than the cheaper price Smiley )

Re: Am I able to get Plusnet Value for £6.49 rather than £12.99?

I just realised my exchange is on Market 2 since I moved into my new flat. Emailed PN support and they kindly amended my pricing so I'm not paying £11.99 for extra instead of £17.99.

I am considering downgrading to the £11.99 package if my speeds do not improve soon. I am currently paying £26 for FTTC extra pro and getting 14Mbps which is worse than my previous adsl2+ speed of 16-18mbps.

Hi Dev,
I noticed that you closed your fault ticket, That's a shame. If you can open another one we can see what we can do if it doesn't pick up.
