I have a Win XP Netbook and the AVG 9 15th March update killed the internet, tried switching off various parts, no good, so no hope of getting another version
Switched off WiFi and removed it, downloaded Avast on here and moved it via USB key and installed, Netbook now OK
Thats the second time they have done that A well bye bye AVG

I had AVG 9 on my laptop with xp, slowed it to a crawl. V8 was OK. Uninstalled it, and moved to microsoft security essentials, seems an OK product. Shame as I was a real advocate of AVG.
