ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

I have been with Plus Net for many years with zero agrivation, which is a big plus, and I have been on ADSL Max for 2 years plus, again with little or no down time at all, with a permanant connection speed of 6mb down and 440k up, plus or minus a few k, but nothing to get excited about. So when upgrading to ADSL2+, I thought all my christmas's had come at once, well how wrong could I be Sad after the intial few days of varying speeds, the system has now settled down to a fantastic 2.3mb down and 300k up. I am using a Linksys WAG54G2 router, and I have gone through all the tests as you would expect with no change, had multiple email exchanges with the "tech support guys" zero change, and they are now not even sure they can put be back to where I was, oh deep joy, so there you have it, ADSL 2+, it is too soon, dont touch it.

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

could you post what the current sync rate is from your router stats as the screen shot is not clear enough to see this.
iam more after what your current stats from your router are than test results PN have run.
as for you upsync not improving please read this thread http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,75080.0.html
i note your downstream loop loss/attention is 49db on pn test run.
do you know at all if this was the same when you where on adsl? i cant see it being the same as you say you where geting 6mb on adsl
iam on 51db atten line and on adsl i get max daytime sync of 4000kbps and average ip profile of 3000kbps

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

with an atten of 49db your line should be doing abit better than 3068 and the bit from the PN stats that is causing the lowish sync is this bit
Downstream Link Info
  Loop Loss 49.8
  Loop Loss Add Text N/A
  SNR Margin 18
the lowest target snr on adsl2+ is 6db or 3db Undecided so having a snr of what i think would be a target of 15(but at the mo on adsl2+ anything seems posable and maybe target of 18db) means the exchange is seeing your line as unstable and trying to stablise it by uping the SNR resulting in a lower sync.
but the main 2 things concerning me here is the fact you said you got 6mb on adsl which would mean alot lower attention/loop loss than 49db
and the fact you have seein no increase in up sync speed which i belive you need to pm jameseh to sort out as per the info in the thread link i gave before about orders being placed on capped upstream.
i think you should get jameseh to sort the upsteam out and see what line stats you have after that before investigating more as downstream  might sort it's self out once jameseh has put a new order in to BTw to sort upstream problem

Yeah i'm not the only with problems. You can see my history of issues here: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,74977.0.html along with my recent connection details on the 2nd page of the thread.

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

This is the reply I got when I questioned the upload speed as suggested !
Dear Mr Atkinson, Thank you for your response, 444k is a perfectly normal upload speed, bear in mind that the A in ADSL stands for Asynchronous (but is also referred to as asymmetrical), and this means the downstream speeds should always be significantly higher than the upload.

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

take it thats a ticket reply.
you need to pm jameseh as he's dealing with these's re orders. click his name a title  it somthing like adsl2+ capped upstream and ask him to place a modifyed order for you.

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

when the order is complete and your geting higher upload sync would post your line stats from your router so that we can compare them with the PN test results from before.
things like the attention/loop loss, snr/noise margin, sync rates
thanks

Re: ADSL2+ Slower than ADSL MAX

nice sync
any idea what attention/loop lose and snr/noise margin is being reported as now ?
