Re: ADSL2+ DLM logic

Kelly,
I am on a long line at 61db attenuation, and currently maintaining a 2848kb sync.
Our exchange is just about to go 21cn (rfs date 1/12/2012).
Three questions,
Will my connection stay at adsl1 on 21cn ?
Also either way will my upload be uncapped from 448 to 800+kb (or the max it will support) , assuming adsl1 on 21cn will do more than 448kb ?
On 20cn, bitloading is a minimum of 2 bits per tone, on adsl1 21cn will it do a minimum bitloading of 1 bit per tone ?
Thanks,
Paul.

@ maximod
I'd say you'll probably go to ADSL2 (not +), that's what happened to me on my line with 57dB downstream attenuation, anyway...
I'm not sure if it's still the case, but you'll probably have to request for your upload to be uncapped after you've moved over to 21CN. Mine is currently syncing at 664 with an upstream attenuation of 35.6, which might not seem like much, but it made a world of difference! In the past it has gone up to ~800Kbps, but that was more due to me tinkering with my router (a 7800N)

Re: ADSL2+ DLM logic

I think we'll keep you capped unless you request it.  I believe Dave wasn't moving anyone with less than a 3Mb speed profile.

Re: ADSL2+ DLM logic

Thanks for the information.
I assumed i would be put on adsl2 (not +)),as the extra frequency range of + would be a non starter with my attenuation figures anyway.
Getting back to the other points i was seeking info on,
On 21cn  adsl 1 , is the minimum bitloading 1, or 2 as in 20cn adsl ?
Also on 21cn adsl 1, can the upload be uncapped, and if so is it likely to reduce the download bitloading, so reducing sync speed ?
Thanks,
Paul.
