ADSL switch on day best thing to do

I get ADSL1 switched on the 27-28th, the ADSL2+ 1 day later
I might be away over the dates, so is it best to put my login info into the router before I go, or just turn it off
I'm thinking of the exchange hardware setting up the connection and so on

Re: ADSL switch on day best thing to do

If it was me, I would ensure the modem is fully correctly configured, ensure the ADSL modulation scheme is set to auto (or all modulation schemes enabled) so that it switches to ADSL2 correctly, and then just leave it switched on.
By the time you come home, you will hopefully be some way through the 10 day line retraining - which should be doing well because the connection will be undisturbed and there will be lower than normal electrical noise in you house while you are away.

It is probably worth leaving it doing line training while plugged into the TEST SOCKET, to get the best possible results.

Thx will set up just before we go
I guess if the login info didn't try and auto login, it will get the adsl line from the exchange, but not PN
