With ADSL2/ADSL2+ the BT IP profile changes instantly, it is set to 88.2% of sync speed. The Plusnet profile (data transfer speed) should catch up within a few hours.

If you are still not seeing the higher download speeds try logging into your router's admin interface, disconnect from Plusnet then reconnect. This should not disturb your connection to (sync with) the exchange.

Thanks, it seemed OK when I did another test at around 8pm, nearly 300kb/s download, really chuffed, I'm sure many of you on your 50 meg + lines are smiling but this is a huge (50%) increase for me.

Well somethings changed over the past week... no longer able to sync much above 2500kbps, in fact for the past 2 weeks it hasnt gotten past this, which puts things back right where they were.

 

Can anyone see on the systems what if anything may have changed?
