I appreciate this may not be the correct forum, but the expertise lies here.
My second home in France has had ADSL2+ for over two years. We have been with the same ISP the whole time. When visiting at Easter, we noticed the following:
> adsl info --stats
adsl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: Showtime Channel: INTR, Upstream rate = 320 Kbps, Downstream rate = 1216 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: G.DMT
Channel: Interleave
Trellis: ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up

I find the interesting point here is:
Down Up
Max(Kbps): 7936 1040
Rate (Kbps): 1216 320n
Two years ago we got 11Mb down and 1.5 Mb up.
Does anyone, with their excellent technical knoweldge, know what maybe causing the router to see G.DMT instead of ADSL2+? I have tried turning off G.DMT and noticed that the router would not sync.
Any help greatfully received. I can telnet to the router, but amazingly my ISP refuses to do the same as they are only skilled in the web interface.
Thanks in advance.
