Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Looking at the White-box output and the firewall on the router i can say that it is in fact within the time frame of the packet-loss on the white-box results and i am playing games on-line around them times too.

Just running my script with the pingpath and tracert see what results i get from that as well.

@Chris i have sent you a PM with the full firewall log.

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Hmm, we could try turning the broadband firewall on to see if that stops these requests hitting your router. You can change the settings for that here: https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=firewall - after each change you need to disconnect/reconnect for any changes to take effect

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

I'd try it on low to start with, then disconnect/reconnect. You can easily revert the change by altering the firewall setting in the member centre and then disconnecting/reconnecting again.

@Chris since placing firewall on no more packetloss. Thanks for that tip!

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

I am still getting ICMP packer attacks tough, these are somehow getting though the net. So still get the odd packet dropping. I have attached the wireshark capture now to the ticket as well if you fancy looking at that Ticket ID: #94152141 .
It seems better but i really do not know whom i upset for such a constant attack on our connection. Did you get my PM?

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Yep got your PM, that's certainly a lot of requests being sent at your router. As you're on a dynamic IP and these requests are still being sent, it's a bit odd. Do you have a dynamic DNS account set up to point a domain at your IP each time it changes, or are you running a server or similar that may be causing these inbound requests to be sent?

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

I do have a DDNS that changes to the new IP when DHCP changes but this is so i can monitor the Router Stats whilst i am away from home. However i was getting these attacks before the DDNS was enabled.
I don't run servers at home due to lack of bandwidth.

@chris just sent another PM to you with what i am getting now and wireshark.

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Could you try with it off again, once you've turned it off log in to your router and disconnect/reconnect.

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

I can give that a try. Thanks for Ideas
Edit: Done, DDNS is now Disabled will keep eye on the logs now.

Edit2: Nope still getting them attacks will PM you the log from firewall again.

Edit3: Packet and Latency issue is back, nothing in firewall and was noticed during game play lucky i record my game play so i am now cutting the video slightly to show the issue. It has the network graph as well and then it will show you what i am facing.
Here is the Video Look closely at the graph at the bottom middle of the screen you will see Loss -> (packetloss from my end to server) and Also latency too.

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Do you see the packet loss and latency at specific times of the day or does it happen at anytime? For example is it worse in the evenings than during the day?
Also, sorry if we've asked this, but are you running wireless or wired?

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

I've just had a look at the capacity reports for your exchange and can't see any issues there either. There's something else I want to check, so I'll get back to you again shortly.

Re: ADSL 2+ IP Profile Stuck.

Thanks chris.

Edit: To answer your other question. Happens just the same on Wireless as it does on Wired.  (The first check i did and the Video that was recorded was on Wired!) Also i was the only users at the time on the internet. All other devices was knocked offline as well as all the background processes on the system.
However the wireshark i did was on wired as on my laptop i have load balancing setup due to the system i have.
I am also using the 20hz Wifi signal over the more common 20/40hz which would give me 300mbps instead of the 144mbps i am getting now to insure that there is no interference also the channel being used is stuck at 1 as not to overlap any other Wifi Signal and this gets changed once an overlap is found.
How ever i can rest assure you its not the wifi as i can stream 1080P @30fps games over wifi on my Tablet from the laptop, without using Wired connection.
