80% rule for upload IP profiles on uncapped ADSL2+ connections?

On Sunday I had mine uncapped to get a bit more upload speed to help with hosting games.  So does the upload IP profile use the same 80% rule on a 21cn ADSL2+ line for the synced speed as it does for the download speed?
Currently synced at 888 up / 5.414 down with IP profile of 0.45kB/s up and 4.7mbit down
On speed tests[BT/TBB] I get 0.7kB/s on uploads, so shouldn't the IP profile be 0.8kB/s or does it just run as fast as possible not requiring being limited by an IP profile?

According to the BT speedtest it is 0.83Mbps for a sync speed of 888kbps

Re: 80% rule for upload IP profiles on uncapped ADSL2+ connections?

The point of the download IP Profile is to stop data being sent from the Plusnet gateway to the exchange at a faster rate than the connection from the  exchange to your router can handle. With upload the slowest part is the first part so there is no need to restrict the speed. Also the profile would have to be imposed by the exchange and it's already got the data before it could do anything about it, so yes upload is just as fast as possible.

Re: 80% rule for upload IP profiles on uncapped ADSL2+ connections?

I should never have posted,  you would think I would have learnt by now being a PN customer, don't post a question on here if it ain't broke.  Someone did some fiddling and now looks like I am banded and have been moved to ADSL2 from ADSL2+ which I have been on for years
DSL Type: ITU-T G.992.3
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 888 / 4.648
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12,8 / 0,0
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 28,2 / 48,0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 8,1 / 11,4
Download speedachieved during the test was - 4.09 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1.2 Mbps-4 Mbps. that has always been higher range
IP Profile for your line is - 4.1 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.64Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

No one has touched your line, so I'm a little unsure why your sync speeds have dropped.
With regards to your upload speeds, they can be improved but you're only going to get maximum upload speeds with the Interleaving Option off.
Your line isn't banded, and it looks as though your speeds have picked up since the drop last night. I've updated our internal profile to match it.
