Can someone from the DCT please display a Radius log for me?
My problems seemed to kick off in a bad way on Monday. Today I had another disconnect, and decided to log a fault since something obviously wasn't happy.
Shame as my setup has been more or less stable for a long time! Though a hot TG582N router could be cause for concern.

Hi there,
Here you go:
<img src="http://community.plus.net/visualradius/generated/image13782998656717.png"/>
It's not looking too bad in terms of stability from what we can see. I'm wondering what might have changed on the 2nd to cause the drops and the noise margin to creep up like that.

Thank you Adam for the graph, it does look outstanding as far as stability goes! Hence me hitting the "panic button"
The weather wasn't even a factor, unless it objects to having too much sunshine (though at least I'm nowhere near the "Walkie Talkie" building in London, sheesh a building that can melt cars!!!) though the router does feel on the hot side and its placed on a desk with plenty of ventilation.
I have no idea what caused the drops and the noise margin to creep up, since physically nothing has changed at my end. The first drop I checked the website, and noticed that there had been a drop on Network Performance page, but nobody had reported any problems with pcl-ag01 (mid-day)
Similarly for pcl-ag06 (2pm).
The 3rd drop didn't show as far as I could tell on the Network Performance page, so I was getting a little nervous. Yesterday was stable so I thought ok... maybe the exchange was having problems and the DLM would sort things out.
Then this morning's drop was a step too far so I logged a problem.
I'll keep monitoring the patient as best as I can, and see if the Faults team have spotted anything untoward on my line after they have run their tests.

I remember watching Mythbusters a few years ago and seeing them trying to replicate Archimedes' "death ray" and they couldn't quite get it right but lo and behold an architect seems to have done it inadvertently! http://web.mit.edu/2.009/www/experiments/deathray/10_ArchimedesResult.html

Yep we just need to go through the faults process now to see what that uncovers.

Had a reset on Sunday night 23:45 and I am currently on gateway pcl-ag05
But... this looks erm interesting:
All I can say is the router is on, but nothing is connected or in use after 7:15 or thereabouts (the last yellow spike). No wifi, no nothing! Yet I am seeing packet loss.
Is this another symptom of the upload and disconnect problem I originally had?
*EDIT* I stand corrected its already been reported here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,118095.0.html

The timing of that disconnection at 2AM does look like a drop and it looks like the connection was down for approximately 2 minutes, the packet loss displayed prior to then is a concern though. I'm starting to think that some sort of interference (perhaps REIN or SHINE) is affecting your connection. At the moment the disconnections don't seem to be happening to a degree where we'd be able to raise a fault with our suppliers but I'd keep monitoring this on a daily basis for a few more days if you can.

Thanks for the info Adam, hopefully I can check on the system now I'm back home. Rebooted the router to start (09:30 14-09-13) from a known point.
Whatever happened during the week certainly screwed the router as I've never known it to have Output Power on the down side before, that's always been a constant 0dB.
If the problem is affecting me at 2am there is no way I'll up to monitor that!
I'm also running Router Stats Lite to see if that shows anything.
What I don't understand is that it appears to be the Upload side of things that has changed. Majority of folk appear to report Download problems, yet that appears to be fine.

Right... REIN or SHINE? Nasty.
But that seems to contradict what the Agent has told me:
Checked the router over the weekend, and after the disconnect from last Monday (internal problem ref: 76792) my speed had dropped to around 7Mb from 11/12MB so I rebooted and got back to a known start point (so ignore a number of disconnects on Saturday morning/lunchtime, that was me messing around).
The NoiseMargin graphs may shed some light on whats going on (Saturday and Sunday)
But that seems to contradict what the Agent has told me:
Quote Sms Message: I have been looking at the connection today and I can see the connection has been stable these last few days. We will not close the fault however I will pass this back to you so you can monitor when you get back. The fault ticket will stay open for 14 days.
