3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

My line @ 15645K sync rate had been ongoing connection for 3 days (73 hours) but the IP Profile haven't rise yet. Damn you BT. Sad as I had been patience and wait for 3 days now for the profile to rise and BT had fool me as it haven't done anything at the exchange.

You have tried a router reboot?  A new IP profile isn't applied till you do.

No, I must not reboot router because it will drop the sync rate as the exchange probably think it a faulty on my line if I reboot the router. BT IP Profile should be changing automatically itself, no need to reboot the router.

I had reboot the router just 15 minutes ago and the sync rate had go up to 15693K from 15645K but the IP Profile haven't changing Sad Very disappointed after all these 74 hours and 30 minutes. Look like I had to wait for another 3 days again! Sad
See snapshot (before and after reboot router)
EDIT: after 30 minutes with no profile rise, BT had re-sync the line rate had gone up to 16156K from 15693K and the ip profile haven't changing at all Sad I give up!
EDIT: I switched off the router at 2:30am and leave it off through the night and I will try switch on the router in the morning when I get up.

I take it that you have not read up on ADSL, which has been suggested to you on several occasions, if you have done you would have found that updates to profile can take anything from 4 hours to 120 hours depending the percentage change in profile. For me I have experience the 4 hour update several times.

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

What is the hell going on ? I was solid speed throughput of 11.5Meg for 3 days but when BT change my ip profile from 12000k to 13000k and the throughput speed went horrible wrong! Also the ping was too high. What happen ?

The speed was all over the place from 4 meg to 12 meg every 5 minutes
I notice the router had many errors on the downstream side:
SF (CRC) Errors:  11871
Reed Solomon:    0
RS Corrected:    0
RS Un-Corrected:  0
HEC:              4382
Errored Seconds:  1280

Interleave Depth: 1
Bitswaps:        355

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

Hi goldenadsl,
I wouldn't worry about the odd speedtest showing that kind of figure, I've seen that kind of thing on my line many times. As long as it doesn't stick like that is the main thing.

Do you know what the training period is for?

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

10 days training period is to get stable line speed like speed solid! I think Huh
I am not happy as I get 4/5/6 meg out of 13000K profile, very poor indeed. Why I get 11.5 Meg on 12000K profile is always spot on every days for 4 days before BT mess my line up again

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

Hi goldenadsl,
If the faults team thought that was necessary then that would have been done. Unless there was a fault I'm not sure it would be considered. I've said many times on here that if you study your line stats too much you can drive yourself potty, that's why I don't. If I notice particularly prolonged poor performance I will check a few things but otherwise things usually sort themselves out.

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

Tha main purpose of the training period is to set
Quote
Fault Threshold Rate.
Once your MSR has been set, BTw use this figure to calculate your Fault Threshold Rate which is in the region of 70% of your MSR. BTw will only investigate speed related faults if your speed drops to below the Fault Threshold Level.

Re: 3 Days and IP Profile not rise at all

Right that's it, I had enough with BT ADSL2+ system. I off to TalkTalk LLU (Non BT System and no profile)
