I am ready to upgrade to fibre but I know that on the the 250gb cap my family are going to exceed this quite easily.I have been offered BT Infinity for £22.50 unlimited downloads on 12 month contract.I do not need the "free night time allowance" so is Plusnet going to introduce uncapped as I prefer to talk to a Yorkshire call centre or do I go.

Plusnet already offer unlimited fibre but you have to pay for it via the £5 per 5GB top ups. The extra payment is capped at £99 - extra usage beyond that is not charged.

Quote from: crazyjack I have been offered BT Infinity for £22.50 unlimited downloads on 12 month
That looks like a good deal.
Is the price fixed for 12 months, or are BT offering a monthly discount or 'one off' lump sum credit which would work out at £22.50pcm at current prices?
(BT are raising prices in Jan 2013)

Hi, BT's up to 76mb broadband is £20 for 3 months then £26.00 per month after that vs £19.99 all year with plusnet. Granted the usage allowance is 250gb however you still have unlimited usage between midnight and 8am. Timing your downloads overnight should keep your usage much lower than doing everything throughout the daytime.
With BT's Line rental at £14.60 you would pay around £469.20 for your first year. (£487 for your second year)
Compared with Plusnet's Line Rental being £13.99 and Extra fibre broadband being £19.99 the yearly cost would be £407.76 giving you a saving of £60+ in your first year.
BT's prices are found here: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633&Infinity=yes
Edit:
I have just looked at your account CrazyJack and your usage is typically less than 60-70gb most months as it is. Moving up to 250gb and exceeding this would mean a huge jump in your usage.
You could also make savings by moving to our Line Rental saver(annual line payment) which would be £113.88 for your Line rental(£125.88 after 28th October) If you chose to pay your line rental this way the annual cost for broadband with 250gb and line rental would be £353.76 which increases your savings even more!
