21CN

I think I was moved to 21CN on Monday. I switched the computer on at about 11-00pm and found it down. An hour later I found that the phone was down as well and I reported it to BT. A fault at the exchange was diagnosed. Yesterday morning it seemed to be fixed although BT have not notified me. My broadband speed was 9-10 mbs (I was getting a very steady 6.0 - 6.7 on 20CN). However this slowed during the day to 6.5 and then 0.1mbs. There seems to be a lot of errors ;
FEC Errors (Up/Down):
4,294,967,264 / 740,658
CRC Errors (Up/Down);
4,294,967,264 / 394
HEC Errors (Up/Down):
0 / 332
I switched the router off overnight and this morning the speed was 6.7mbs.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me if the line fault could cause so many errors and what speed could I realistically expect.
I wonder if the switch caused the problem.
My knowledge regarding computers is very limited!!!!!

Re: 21CN

Hi peter10,
As it's in the 10 day training period I can't (as I have just tried) raise anything until the training period is complete.
