Hi MrC,
I've just changed your profile to 3800 so you should see that increase shortly, normally about 15 minutes.

2.6k you must really be suffering with that Wink
I've updated the profile for you as that's at 2.7mb on BT's side at present.
I've also submitted an SNR reset to see if we can get the IP profile to increase, that should take effect within the next 24 hours.

Re: *21CN ONLY* Do you think your PN profile is not updating as it should?

hmm PN side my profile was 2.6 you changed it to 2.7, BT side it is/was 4k.  Now including what changes you made this morning my sync is now 6k previously it was 4.5k but can't check the BT profile as I had a failed test during reconnection's after the forced resync PN side.
So other than the 2 resyncs I had there is little or no change
edit: current state of play
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2.69 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 2 Mbps-7.15 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 5.33 Mbps
edit take 2, did a manual reboot. PN still showing 2.7 as current line speed
But better speeds
FTTP 500 regrade from Tues 28th November

All being well, SNR reset should bring the IP profile back in line with the sync speed soon.

Re: *21CN ONLY* Do you think your PN profile is not updating as it should?

Yesterday, Matt very kindly upped my profile from 8Mb to 18.3Mb. I resynched the router early this morning and was able to synch at a higher speed. The BT speedtest now shows the following:
Download speedachieved during the test was - 17.45 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 18.63 Mbps
Can my Plusnet profile be pushed upwards? I know it is only a small change, but it would be greatly appreciated.  Smiley

HI Gus,
Your sync is now 5912, so I have raised your profile to 5200 to allow for your new BT IP profile. This should take effect shortly.

Re: *21CN ONLY* Do you think your PN profile is not updating as it should?

(PN 'paksw')
Hi,
Was upgraded from 'up to 8Mbps' to 'up to 20Mbps' on around the 21st Feb..... immediately got a downstream sync of around 13Mbps..... having previously tweaked my SNR on my router (Billion 7800N), I thought it best to reset to factory default with the new service - sync went down to 11Mbps....  Plusnet "high speed broadband" reported my "Current line speed" as "7.15 Mb" (as I used to get on the old 8Mbps service with the tweaked SNR).
Decided to wait 10 days (assumed training period with new service was still the same), and various speed tests over the next 9 days showed that throughput remained capped at 7.15Mbps, even with the higher sync. A BT speed test on 25th Feb. indicated that the BT IP Profile was 10.46Mbps.......  Modem sync also went up to around 13Mbps during this time, but throughput remained at 7Mbps-ish....
This morning (10th day after upgrade?) a generic throughput test ("mybroadbandspeed.co.uk") reported:
Today 10:56 10478 kbps (1.31MB/s) 540 kbps (67.5kB/s)
A BT speedtest reported:
Download speed achieved during the test was - 11.19 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 11.8 Mbps
However, in my Plusnet Member Centre, my "Current line speed" is still being reported as 7.15 Mb.
As I'm no longer being capped at 7.15Mbps, not sure if this is exactly the same situation as others that have posted, but there's still the discrepancy between BT IP Profile and Plusnet reported speed.......
Does my Plusnet profile need a kick, even if it's only to get everything in sync...??  And if I start tweaking my SNR in my router (which worked with the 8Mbps service - modem sync went from less than 7Mbps to 8128kbps solid), does it still look like I would need to revisit (here, or raise a ticket) to get the PN speed updated.....
Thanks,
P.

Re: *21CN ONLY* Do you think your PN profile is not updating as it should?

Evening - I think I'm seeing this issue on my line too.
My line was enabled for ADSL2+ on Monday last week, and has been hovering around 8000 - 9000 kbps ever since, however my PlusNet "Current Line Speed" figure is still at 5.5Mb (which was my pre-ADSL2+) IP profile.
See below for my current line stats and also the attached file for a recent BT speedtest - On the plus side, the DSLAM seems to have decided that my line is stable enough for a 3 db noise margin too, which seems to be holding up fairly well *touch wood*
Downstream
Speed: 8826 kbps
Attenuation: 40 db
Noise Margin: 3.7 db
Upstream
Speed: 798 kbps
Attenuation: 21.7 db
Noise Margin 5.2 db
Can my PlusNet profile possibly be upped to match my actual IP profile?
Cheers

Re: *21CN ONLY* Do you think your PN profile is not updating as it should?

@Hingy - I've upped your profile to 18600
@Pawhe955 - likewise changed to 11800
@granilith - I believe I've resolved your issue on the thread you started? Please let me know if not.
@Alphaseven - Your profile has been changed to 8800.
I hope this sorts it all for everyone and that speeds improve Smiley Please let us know if not or if there's anything else we can do.
