We tried to call you earlier this morning, but you were unavailable to take our call. I'll try again this afternoon to get something arranged with you.

I don;t know if one can tell from the figures you quoted but at that low a speed you might have been placed on a banded profile.  If so, if you find and remove the fault your speeds will go up around 3 days later.  But the attenuation reported by your router should drop immediately.

Re: 0.11mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED

It's not a Banded profile causing the problem. If it were just banding, then the speed would be at the upper limit of the band, which this is not, so something else is the cause.

@Anotherone
Correct. Also worth noting is the upload sync rate, it's very low which could indicate a potential issue on the BT Network.
@baileytech
I've tried to call you this afternoon, if you could just reply to the SMS I've sent, we'll get something arranged for you.

Excellent.  I just remember from experience that you can completely cure a broadband problem yet see absolutely no immediate effect on the speed - which I'm sure must cause a lot of confusion.  So I worry about banded profiles, the situation where this happens.

Re: 0.11mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED

Re your top original post , I acheived a download speed of 0.06  ......  WOW. It was slower than the days before broadband. I've had a few weeks of this and Plusnet are still "sorting it out".  Mine too is supposed to sort on "Tuesday"

Re: 0.11mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED

bt / openreach engineer just left
he was the nicest guy ever, he told me loads of interesting technical things and answered all my stupid questions - he spent a total of three hours in the house and in the box !
all tests in the house came back ok
he went to the green box and did more tests, turns out the pair of wires we are using are really old and not the best so he moved us on to a new pair and now the sync speed is 4756kbps (fastest in the village)
download speed is still abmissable but said that will catch up within the next few days
he said he will report back to plusnet, and said plusnet could even do something remotely with an ip profile can speed this process up
overall a happy bunny, even happier once the download speed sorts itself out
yay

Re: 0.11mbps DOWNLOAD SPEED

Run the BTw Performance test (ignore the red preamble except make sure no other programs are using the Internet) and at the end of the first run, click the Further Diagnostics button, enter just your Phone number and Run the Further Diagnostics Test.
Copy and paste the results in a post here. Hopefully someone from the DCT will then update your Current Line speed (Login required) to match the BT IP profile.
