Have you tried configuring the TP Link extender to offer the same SSID / Password as your Plusnet router ?

I have a ‘tp link’ Wi-Fi extender at the bedroom end of my bungalow. It works with my Plusnet router but, in my wi-fi settings, it shows separately to my router. It has the same name, but with ‘_Ext’ at the end.
They don’t automatically mesh together. I have to manually swap between them, in my settings, to get the best signal.
How can I mesh them together, so that they give a strong signal throughout the bungalow, without having to choose the best signal manually?

Thanks,
David
