I remember way back when, I had Tesco `dial up` broadband and a free email address with them. Ah, happy days! I had a second hand desktop PC back then and was moving from a basic word processor to a proper computer! Now I have two Gmail addresses and a Microsoft one. Again, free to use (at least for now until they decide they are all now running on AI and that costs £/$.....

Interesting!

Broadband ISP Virgin Media UK closes email service and shifts users to Junara

https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2026/09/broadband-isp-virgin-media-uk-closes-email-service-and-shifts-users-to-junara.html

"According to The Register, customers who want to retain their Virgin Media email address will be invited to transfer to Junara. The first year of service will be free for current Virgin Media customers, after which they will have to pay to continue using the service."
