Win 7 is of some age now.

Is the problem the web browser is also an older version that does not work well Currys security model ?

Perhaps https://eclipse.cx/projects/r3dfox browser might be worth a try on Win 7,
it is a recent build of Firefox that works with Vista onwards.

2 new problems - (1) accessing Currys website - (2) Spond problem

I seem to be having all sorts of computer problems just lately. My thanks to the forum for helping me. The other day I lost access to the internet - this turned out to be my router password had been changed - dont know how or by who, but it wasn't me. The plusnet helpdesk changed my router password from their side, and I did the same to the router from my side. The access to the internet is now working fine. However, if I try to access the Currys website from this pc (the main one I use which has Win 7 and is LAN cable linked to the router) it puts me into a Currys security checker which rejects me. However, if I go to another pc which has Win 11, and is linked to my router via wi-fi, I get through to Currys straight away. That suggests to me that the problem is on my Win 7 computer.

The Spond problem which I am dealing with here in case there is a link between both problems, allows me to receive emails including Spond, but if I try to access the data supplied with this Spond email, the access fails. I have to open the email then click on View Request, and it is at that point it goes wrong. In a way it is a bit like the Currys security problem. I have attached a screenprint copy of the failure message.

Any thoughts?

Thankyou for helping

You're not alone. I'm also using Win7 and haven't been able to access their website due to their security checking page too.

Blocking Win7 users is hardly a clever way of convincing someone they need a new PC is it..
