You do appear to be fighting with Grandstream ATA to enter the credentials.

Is this HT802V2 a genuine full retail product bought brand new,
or was it previously sold or bundled by a different VoIP provider & re-sold on eBay or similar ?

Has anyone setup a Grandstream adaptor to work with A&A VoIP?

I've followed a guide on these forums and instructions on the A&A site and believe I've set everything up. However, when I look at my Grandstream port status, it says "Not registered" and I can't figure out why. Anyone had this problem before?

We have a similar Cisco ATA with both lines configured for accounts from Sipgate,
we are using SIP Ports 47160 and 47180 one for each line & these appear in the Sipgate portal.

Start with the basics, does the Grandstream have a valid IP / Gateway / DNS etc i.e. values that should work via your Router,
the ATA will usually use NTP to get the date & time, has that worked ?

Does the Grandstream have any error logs to show if the credential are being accepted / rejected
or the A&A SIP or STUN servers can not be resolved and reached ?

Thanks for the reply, Philip.

I believe I've setup the networking correctly. I connect to the Grandstream via my LAN. The IP address, DNS IP, router IP, subnet mask etc. looks ok. I can enter **** on my analogue phone and it tells me the IP address and that's correct.

My 'DNS Mode' is set to 'A Record'. Is that right? Should it be 'User Configured IP'? Does that mean the DNS that my ISP is using? I didn't want to mess with it.

I'm using the A&A NTP server: time.aa.net.uk but was using pool.ntp.org before that.

My NAT Traversal is Keep-Alive.

The Port Status shows 'On Hook' and gives me the port number it's using 5060.

I'll try and find a way to access error logs.

Thanks for the reply, W.

Do my port settings look right to you? My SIP User ID is in this format: ab123@a and my SIP Authenticate ID is my phone number in this format: +441234567890 where the leading zero is omitted. I've asked A&A, but waiting for a reply.

I've set a SIP password on the A&A Control webpage and I've set that on my Grandstream. Something odd about it is that it took several attempts to get it to save. I saved and applied the new password yesterday, rebooted and found it was still the old password. This happened a couple of times before it finally saved. It has the correct password now.

Thanks, W. I've set that now.

On your Grandstream, if you go to your Port Settings, where it says SIP Authentication Password, does it show anything even if you click the reveal eye icon to the right of the field? It says it's meant to be blank for security reasons, but even if I click the reveal icon, nothing shows. Not even ***** characters.

Googling why my password never shows, it says it could be getting overwritten by a previous config file. In Maintenance - Upgrade - Config File, there was a Config Server Path and I've removed that now and rebooted, but still can't see my SIP Authentication Password, even if I set it again. Can you see your password?

Edit: There's also a Config Provision Order in Maintenance - Upgrade - Provision. There are two (files?) on the available side that aren't ticked and there are four on the 'selected' right which aren't selected either.

I bought it from Amazon.

I think it's working now though. I've just changed the SIP Transport from TCP to UDP in SIP Settings. I can't remember which guide I found that suggested it had to be TCP. I also had an Outbound Proxy set, which I deleted (even though I couldn't send or receive calls on it previously). It's now registering and I've tested it with my mobile.

Thank you to Philip and W for helping resolve this. I appreciate your efforts.
