Wireless, on the 5Ghz I believe.
I'm getting varying responses (to be expected) but such a significant variation, so if sat in same place, close to a Deco, will be 200''ish Mbps down 90-100 up.
Then next test 55-65 down and oddly now 75, 85, 90+ up.
Then occasional 40-45 down and 20'ish up.

On a WiFi 6 device, I'd expect much better, considering the reviews and videos I watched on these Deco XE75's and being on 900Mbps FTTP.

Will of course try wired at some point but need to run that from the main Deco attached to ONT, to room where PC will be, quite a job as via the loft...
Hi all
Just joined Plusnet.
Moved into house with FTTP ONT already installed. Old occupant now left, and ceased with PN.
I had PN reactivated for me on a new account this week.
PN Hub 2 still not turned up, though the circuit is activated as of Thursday so the text and updates state.
I can't wait for PN Hub 2 to arrive, they said Thurs, then Fri, then Sat, and still not here. I got work to do 🙂

So I picked up a Deco XE75 set yesterday. Can I get it to work, can I hell...

The Mesh is set up and WiFi all activated and working. But the main Deco just says "No Internet".

The main Deco is connected direct to the ONT via the original users Hub 2 cable.

I've tried PPoE and all sorts of things, but it won't connect. LED is red on the Deco, all green on ONT and no issues.

The account details I have been trying are the email address and username (tried both) that's setup on Plusnet. It is however my personal email address and not a @plusdsl.net as I've seen suggested in some searches I've made.

I'm stumped. I was sure I could just connect the main Deco direct to ONT, out in credentials and away we go. But away we don't.

Any suggestions please?

Cheers
Vin

Thanks for the quick response. I should have been clearer, I'd also tried the @plusdsl.net but I don't know what my password is for that format, as I have nothing in mail or texts from PN to state 1. To use that format and account 2. A password for that.
Would it be the same pwd as my main PN login account for the PN portal?

Or is it a pwd that comes in the delivery with the Hub 2, whenever that might show up?

Well, that worked and I'm certain I'd tried that previously, multiple times. But finally online, so thanks.

Next issue is... First 2 speed tests, 300+Mbps.
Subsequent, it's dropped to lower than the 75Mbps service, I'm seeing 25-35Mbps. I ordered the 900Mbps service.

Will of course try wired at some point

You really do need to try wired. That will prove whether it's a problem with the FTTP service or just a wireless problem.

Wireless can be so variable, for example I have a Wifi 6 capable AP and a laptop with a Wifi 6 card. On a good day it will get around 750-800Mb on a speedtest but after its (the laptop) been connected (still on 5ghz) for a while it will slow down. For example I've just done a speedtest (its been connected since around 7am this morning) , result was 200Mb, disconnect and reconnect , instantly 750Mb!

A wired speedtest is the only way to properly test for a fault in the actual service.
