Installing HP Smart in WIndows 11 Laptop

Canm anyone help me please. I have a new HP Printer which requires HP Smart to run its various facilities.

When I download the app from Microsoft store as directed it starts to install then a window appears saying retry later etc.

I contatced HP support and we had the same problem but when we installed onto a windows 10 laptop all was well.

The HP Tech person said he thought it might be something blocking the app on the Windows 11 laptop but couldn't help me.

There is no VPN on the laptop and I even tried with the anti virus stopped to no avail,

Can anyone point me in a direction that might allow me to install the software.

Have you tried right clicking the install icon and run as administrator?

Did you get anywhere with this? I have HP smart installed on Windows 11

There is also a mobile app for HP smart available from Google Play and Apple Store.

I cannot get administration to run on the app for some reason. Could it be it is downloaded from the Microsoft store unlike a normal programme.

I have it running on my mobile phone ok but still nothing on womdows 11 laptop.

Not helped with my broadband and phone going down several times in last 24 Hrs.

In that case:

First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/

If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/

Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.

The above assumes you still have 'normal' landline connection - if you have a SOGEA (internet only) one the only option is to call Plusnet - 0330 123 9123

John. Not with Plusnet but with Sky unfortunately on Full Fibre. But hopefully moving soon.

Are you downloading "HP Smart Installer.exe" or View in store? I'd try a download if you've not tried already

Edit: With my HP Envy 5000 I am able to manage it using it's Embedded Web Server connecting using its IP Address

Windows 11 - I have uninstalled and installed the app with no issue running the app afterwards. Are you trying to create an account or login into one I'd try skipping that step.
