Can't get Inbox folder contents on second pc

I've copied the IMAP settings across from my main PC to my laptop and the list of sub folders I had created has appeared, so the connection must be working, but the Inbox folder stubbornly refuses to show any emails. Some of the subfolders even have mail in. I'm seeing sync errors, but why? I'm using Outlook.

Look in the Sync Issues folder (in the folder pane under your account) for detailed logs of what’s failing.
