I would expect a GP to have a nhs.uk address now. They may have previously or still have a .co.uk address.

I suspect the .co.uk is set to redirect to their (probably) NHS hosted site.

I have a problem looking at an address on the web that is as supplied to me by the people at that address. I will explain.

When I try to contact my GP surgery, I type into Chrome the name of the practice, it comes up with one www.. address which I used. I couldn't do what I wanted to do, so I went to see them at the surgery. As a result of that face-to-face discussion, they sent me an email with a link to their address. It differed from what I had used - the one I had used ended 'nhs.uk' whereas the link they sent me ended 'co.uk'.

It makes no difference whether I type into Chrome the full link they sent me, or I click on the link in their email, I still end up at the nhs.uk page.

Is my search history overriding what I am typing, in which case, how do I clear at least that nhs.uk record if not all of it, or should I go back to the surgery and get them to check if it happens to them too?

Thanks for any help

Hello Shutter, we meet again.

I'm using Chrome. I have just gone into Chrome History to delete the connections to that particular site. The History records something every time I have changed page, so just to clear what I have done on that website this morning meant I had 13 entries to delete. As for yesterday, well at that point I just gave up. What I need is something simple that deletes all History records for that website and its sub-pages in one go, without deleting any other websites. I haven't found this magic sword yet.

Cheers

@penneck But..... did deleting that history, make any difference?

2nd question.... do you actually "NEED" to keep a historical record of every site you have visited? if you have a "bookmarks" or "favourite" option in the menu, you can save the URL of any site/page you visit...

In Firefox, there are two options... you can select "Never remember history" ... and you can also " Clear all History" if you did not select the first one !.
