Moving gmail to Outlook 2019

Having just set up a new-build PC I have finally decided to go back to Outlook from Gmail.

I have just over 4,000 emails in Gmail which I want to move to Outlook to then sort, delete or move to folders.

As I cannot see a way to do this could anyone kindly help, please?

Do you mean the outlook mail service as opposed to the outlook 2019 application?

If so I would create both accounts as IMAP in Thunderbird and drag the mails in chunks from one mailbox to the other.
Or you could do a google takeout which will give you an mbox file and then upload that outlook.

Thanks. I had use my friendly Google team but most of what I could find was either moving the entire Gmail account to be transferred to Outlook or using third party software to do it.

I want to move all emails already downloaded to my Gmail account to the main Oiutlook account then use the rules I've already set up to filter them to their relevent folders.

Ta.

All this using my Windows 10 PC and not android, iOS, etc.

Thanks to some help from @dvorak and finding this site all is done. I was expecting something so much more complicated😂
