Windows 10 connects to router but not Internet (FIXED)

I unsuccessfully attempted to create a WiFi Hotspot in Windows 10.

In the process somehow or another i mucked up my internet connection. The lappy was getting to the router fine but not beyond that. All other devices were fine. A router re-boot made no difference. I tried all sorts of things to fix including ipconfig /release and /renew.

At point 6 in the article I made sure to change settings to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

That sorted it. Sharing in case anyone needs it.
