      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi Guys, hope you all had a good Christmas 2021.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Ours was fine... apart from the fact that both of the HDMI ports on our Panasonic Viera 40DS500 TV seem to have gone kaput.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The #1 port had an Amazon Firestick plugged into it and all that's showing is a blank screen. Same as well when plugged into the #2 port.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Have tried another known working Firestick with the same result, so what's going on. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;And &lt;STRONG&gt;two&lt;/STRONG&gt; faulty HDMI ports? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Does the TV have a 'factory reset' option. If so it might be worth a try.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Yes, I tried another known working Firestick with the same result.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Had thought of trying both of the Firestick in a neighbours TV, but what with Covid and all.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Off to see one of our daughters soon so might try it in hers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;It's a real head scratcher that's f'sure.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm now left wondering if it's some sort of glitch with the automatic software updates from Panasonic.&amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":thinking_face:"&gt;🤔&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;All sorted.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Did a full factory reset of the television along with all the palaver that involves and it's now up and running.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Rather surprised though that despite talking to the Amazon tech guys via their chat line they did not suggest doing that and instead focused entirely on the firestick and what I had or had not tried otherwise.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Still, all's well that ends well.&amp;nbsp;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
