      <description>&lt;P&gt;I subscribe to a couple of newsgroups but, for no apparent reason, Thunderbird now reports that 'Connection to server text.usenet.force9.net was reset' when I click to download new message headers. Clicking on a header then proceeds to cause Thunderbird to hang.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I suspect, but am not sure, that this may have started after the recent email outage.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Anyone able to suggest a fix?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The email platform has nothing to do with the news server either.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.plus.net/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1840"&gt;@digitl&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;- things look OK to me, so it's likely something local that's causing the problem.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks, Bob&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was able (eventually) to check on another device and newsgroups were accessible from that so I reinstalled on the problematic laptop and things seem to be back to normal.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
