Plex server unreachable from outside.

Using Technicolor TG582n gateway, wired internet connection. Windows 7. Installed Plex server on my PC, installed media files on same PC, everything works but the server is unreachable from outside. I've temp disabled windows firewall to remove that as the issue, any help appreciated not savvy on routers or connection issues. http://postimg.org/image/7o81m27lj/

You will need to forward port 32400 on your router to the plex server machine
there is a guide on basic port forwarding for that router here:

Thank you for that link, I forwarded the port and Plex is now "Fully accessible outside the network", and I can connect via my smartphone. I don't have a static I.P though so I wonder if that will cause problems in the future, either way thanks for the help.

As long as you know what your IP is at any given time you'll be able to connect directly to the server
even without a static IP you'll be able to connect by going to app.plex.tv as it will know where to find the server based on your login
If you do want a static IP it is just a one time £5 cost.

I'm looking to add another storage box at some point, I buy drives whenever they go on sale etc, WD Red 3TB add up quickly

invested in a plusnet static ip for £5:00, thought they cost more, but no, cheers!
