Nokia N95 unlock code (security not PIN)

Just bought one of these on eBay. When switched on the phone asks for the Lock Code and the previous owner cannot remember it. The phone will not go beyond the Lock Code screen. I know the default is 12345, but this does not work and I have also tried the "Call, *, 3" method without success. Do any of you clever guys out there know how to reset or bypass the code?.

+ Turn off the mobile device.
+ Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the “*” button, and the number “3″ button.
+ While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the keys untill the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.
Seems to work on some phones but not others.

will read the code from the phone.

@njal, Thanks but I have tried all that. Tried Nemesis but it will only read codes from phones which are accessable, i.e. they must turn on past the lock code. Formatting codes like *#7370# only work in the same way. My problem is that I can't get past the opening screen "Enter Lock Code".

get them to do a refund on this item as if they did not state in the description that it was locked and they didn't know the lock code then you have a full right to get a refund.
nice phone tho i was after one a while ago so that i could run spotify on it

@njal. Nokia Service Centre charge about £30 to reflash. Will cost me £20 for fuel to get there !!!

If you wanted to send it to a Nokia Service Centre I can recommend these people http://www.nokiarepairs.net/
I sent my N95 for a screen replacment a while ago and it was back within 48 hours, although I did use Royal Mail Special Delivery rather than the Freepost ( probably wise given the value of an N95!! ).

I would do what Asbo Dog said 'get a refund' but apart from that cant you flash it yourself as you can do it with sony ericsson phones.

Guess what? The seller just gave me the code, funny how he found it when I asked for refund.
Nokia reflashing software is not available on the web, I've looked everywhere, I can't find any. Software updates are available free from Nokia site.
Replacing the LCD on N95's is dead easy, just put one on this phone. £5.33 on eBay, T5 screwdriver, 4 screws to remove, less than10 minutes.
I'll check it out now, fit new housing and resell for about £80. Want it 'asbo dog' ? Oh; and reset the code to 12345.
