5 on demand constantly buffering.

just tried watching gadget show but it keeps pausing constantly. bbc and itv are fine so somthing wrong with five's service or my browse setup. but that said i have tried exploer 7 and beta 8 and firefox all the same.
if some one could try this stream from the gadget show website and tell me if it plays o.k would be great. this is what iam trying to watch but even all the shows on the actual 5 on demand site are the same.

we did have comments on a thread a couple of weeks ago, the consensus was that the Chan 5 was rubbish, no one had a good word for it

Yes , you're right pierre
The channel 5 player has lots of basic faults which makes it virtually unwatchable.
I started a thread about a couple of weeks ago and haven't wasted my time with it since after several members agreed.

i just watched that prog in seamonkey. it played smoothly with no lag.

Could be a network bottleneck (from their side) at certain times of day.
The IP looks to come from Germany whereas ITV, channel 4 and Beeb are hosted in the UK

Chan 5's parent company is now German, it used to be Murdoch (I think)

Yes think it was Sky that set it up, now owned by German broadcaster RTL I think.
The IP of the demand five site is registered to a company called Emtriq.

We were not quiet correct Mitch, it was never owned by Murdoch, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_(channel) for an interesting read

just saw my post again and promted me to try the stream again and works fine now looking at the time of my last post i was trying the stream at the same time of day but it was a satarday last time.
only botherd about the gadget show dont think there is any other show on channel 5 i would want to watch.
not into all that look at this guy with 5 head's programes

Most TV is rubbish, isn't that why some bright spark invented youtube?
