In Praise of PN and OR

Last Monday, after years of trouble free service on my ADSL line, I started to get drop outs of my broadband. Some times 90secs apart.

This continued on Tuesday.

On Wednesday I needed to take action and looked up how to contact PN. I was put off by the need to text PN but did it anyway. After a few minutes the response said a fault had been found and I needed an engineer to visit, to which I had to agree. A few more minutes later I had a text saying the fault had been located and an engineer would not need to visit. The fault would be fixed in approximately two days.

On Thursday I found an OR van in my road with the engineer in the footway box. I introduced myself and the chap confirmed he was fixing my fault by remaking the faulty joint. Before the OR chap left he rang the bell and tested to line worked.

It’s been working fine since.

So, the fault was fixed on time without fuss.

Well done to all concerned.
