Is Chat back?

I see that there is now an obtrusive Chat pop-up when you visit the Plusnet website - along with a "Chat now" tab at the bottom right of the page.

It seems to open up with a connection to Joe (Plusnet's virtual assistant)

I haven't tried following it further as I don't need to contact Plusnet.

I don't see that on the laptop - thanks Ublock Origin - but it is on the iPad/iPhone if I ever visit the site on either of those, along with the 'Feedback' tab.

@RobPN He may well be back but I have the feeling that he is a useless bot with no means to chat to a real person, except possibly to sales.☹️

I have seen it on the Plusnet website where they advertise their deals but it does not appear on the Members Centre (under contact us, or anywhere else that I can see). Whilst it does appear to have an option to contact support, (I have not pursued that to see if actually does or if it just directs you the help pages or to phone etc.), I suspect it is just there to deal with sales as the previous version was.

Maybe Plusnet could enlighten us?...or not?

I just tried chatting with Joe about FTTP - I got as far as Joe asking "Can I take your full name for the agent please?", so I entered my name - and Joe said "Sorry, I'm not sure I follow. Pick one of the options below or try rephrasing. I work best with simple questions".

My name isn't that complex, and there are no following options. Oh well.

These useless virtual assistants are popping up everywhere when you look for help and support, with many organisations. I don't want to "talk" to Joe or any other virtual idiot, I want to talk/chat to a person.

I've only just noticed that I registered in 2012 when I was transferred to PN from Madasfish! It lasted about 6 years.
