I note that despite having opted out of receiving junk communications from Plusnet that I have just been given a 'last chance' to participate in your prize draw.

Back when I transferred from Metronet. I think that Pontious was still Pilating at the time. I have received none of these emails before. Do I need to go into my account and correct a glitch or is this a one off over zealous posting?

On checking the account and without being too specific, I'd 100% advise logging in and checking those settings.

I don't know when this got changed without my permission but it must have been recently else I should have got earler invitations to enter your draw etc. Never mind, I've sorted it now.
