I have been a Plusnet customer for just inder 2 years now and until this recent episode very satisffied. I thought that other may be interested in my recent issue.
On Dec 16th my DLINK wireless router decided it had had enough and gave up on me. As a first port of call I logged a ticket with Support to see if the router was still under warranty. Surprise Surprise the answer came back NO. After speaking to a colleague at work he told me to look at the warranty details on the DLINK website, there to my surprise I found that the wireless router had a 11 year warranty by DLINK if bought before 2009 and 2 years if bought after.
I advised Support of this and still they would not replace the router, other than by me either signing up for a NEW 12 month contract or by me forging a invoice to send to DLINK.
Luckily enough DLINK are far more accomodating and have replace Free of Charge my failed router.
So I guess the moral of this story is dont waste your time with CSC support go direct to DLINK and you may get things sorted out
